Round The Head Swim 2017

Dear Swimmers,

The Round the Head Swim is celebrating its 10th anniversary and we hope you will join us again this year. Taking place in the majestic waters of the Irish Sea with the magnificent Cooley mountains in the background the swim is ideal for both first timers and experienced swimmers.

Clogherhead provides swimmers with an opportunity to be very close to nature and see at close quarters the geographical features like Redman’s Cave as you circumnavigate the head.

After the swim, prize giving and gorgeous food, swimmers can take the opportunity to walk across the headland and they might be lucky and see some of the many visitors e.g. dolphins, seals, whales and a wide variety of sea birds.

All candidates should have swam in similar conditions and swam at least 1.5 K in the open water within the previous 3 months.

Junior swimmers, under 16 years old, must have a parent or guardian sign on their behalf.   The organising committee have the final say in participants entry to the event.

Looking forward to seeing you in Clogherhed for the 10th anniversary of The Round the Head Swim. Please see details below.
